Companion Animal: Oscar. Lhasa Apso
Age: 11 years
Issues
Noise sensitive,
Frightened of fireworks and thunder, hides behind settee, won’t go outside, shakes, paces and pants uncontrollably,
Barks and growls at other dogs when out on lead.
Observations
Stiff movement through legs, hips and shoulders,
Roached back,
Hot spot on back,
Hind quarters spasm when touched,
Weighted more on right side,
Set of ears uneven - right side higher,
Tail curves to right,
Base wide front and back,
Always sits on left flank with right leg out.
TTouch Techniques
Groundwork - Labyrinth, raised poles, different surfaces,
Body wrap/T-shirt,
Ear work,
Tail work,
Mouth work,
General body work.
Outcomes
Fear of thunder and fireworks gone after just one TTouch session; Oscar now wears his Equafleece T-shirt whenever there is a strom, or when fireworks are being let off in the area. With this on he no longer hides, shakes, pants, paces or whinesis but is able to remain calm and relaxed and goes about life around the house as normal. Oscar actively seeks out his owners and asks for the T-shirt to be put on when he hears fireworks or when a storm is on the way. As soon as it is on he calms down.
Reactivity to other dogs diminishing.
