Issues
Terrified of people,
Squeal when approached,
Unable to be handled,
Nervous, shy, panicky,
Noise and movement sensitive,
Were abused before rescued.
Observations
Hard, wide staring eyes,
Rapid, panicked breathing,
Tension through whole body,
Tight in neck, shoulders and hindquarters,
Kinks in tail,
Unable to tolerate touch anywhere,
Alani in particular unable to tolerate touch on back, hindquarters and tail (has had half of tail amputated because of damage to spine from being picked up by tail)
TTouch Techniques
TTouches with brushes, feathers, sheep skin mitts,
Wand work,
Ear work,
Mouth work,
General body work,
Tail work.
Outcomes
No longer frightened of people,
Brave and inquisitive,
Enjoy being touched and cuddled,
Able to be picked up,
Relaxed and calm,
Social and confident when meeting new people.
