| The Toyota Coaster, a complete vehicle in its own right, is one of the best selling minicoaches in the world. It has been sold with Caetano bodywork in various guises since the early 1980’s. Examples of the Optimo III and Optimo IV still appear for sale, some occasionally on this website. It is the Optimo V with which most of us are now familiar, and the latest Euro IV variant is marketed under the control of Caetano UK, who we are happy to support as an appointed dealer. |

| The model is offered in two body widths, in standard form offering 18 and 21 seat layouts in a 2 + 1 seating format, and in wider form as a 22 or 26 seat layout in a 2 + 2 seating format. Accessible models with side or rear lift are also available. Body specification is high with double glazing and more commonly air conditioning becoming the norm on the 18 to 22 seat variants. |

| Mechanically the V has also benefited from an upgrade, now featuring the Euro IV Hino N04C-TQ 4 cylinder turbocharged and intercooled common rail engine that develops 148 bhp at 2700 rpm and an impressive maximum torque of 397Nm at 1800 rpm. The use of EGR emissions technology means there is no requirement for the AdBlue additive to be used. |
